SA Art Exhibition at Kirstenbosch

The South Africa Art Exhibition was held at Kirstenbosch between 28 July and August 2018. There were some really awesome pieces of work and many works were sold.

I was lucky enough to pop into Kirstenbosch for my usual hot scones and tea and was met with a number of artists painting en plein air (painting outdoors) while Harry Johnson was carving away wax figures for his next bronze sculpture.

  

  

It was a glorious day and even more enjoyable seeing and watching the artists in action. It made wandering through the exhibition even more inspirational.

It’s a lovely way for the public, who may not usually engage with the art world, to do so. I’m sure this demonstration pushed up sales and, in my opinion, should be a regular event during exhibitions.
